IPUR’s AI for social good in pregnancy monitoring project now working directly with government agencies
2 March 2023
Since kicking off its AI for social good in pregnancy monitoring project, IPUR has made significant progress in data collection and initial presentation of research findings. The latest development of the project will see IPUR present some of these key insights to government agencies in Bangladesh. The aim is that some of these recommendations and insights can be onboarded into the development of policies, enable AI policy frameworks and build AI capabilities.
A small team from IPUR will be travelling to Bangladesh in May 2023 to present at a workshop and learn more from the other teams that have embarked on this programme started by the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), UN ESCAP, and Google.org.
Together with collaborators from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology in South Korea, IPUR’s project investigates challenges in perceptions and reception of incorporating AI into continuous pregnancy monitoring systems.
