At IPUR, we see ourselves as more than a research and public outreach institute. We are imbued with a sense of responsibility to catalyse societal change. More than just a discipline to be analysed and evaluated, we see how risks evolve, and impact our lives today and in the future.
Driven by our vision and mission, we have piloted and funded a number of research projects that we see most potential in to shape and impact society positively such as building resilience against fake news and using data to communicate water risk to the most vulnerable. In education, we launched an “Understanding and Communicating Risk” online course to help individuals build a foundation in risk literacy and master tools to communicate risk information effectively.
IPUR is well positioned to becoming the world leader in educating decision makers from government and industry and citizens about what they need to know to make better decisions about risk.
