Understanding Risk 2020 post-conference report

The Understanding Risk (UR) Global Forum is a biennial conference that convenes experts and practitioners from all around the world to showcase the best practices and latest innovations in the field of disaster risk identification as well as to facilitate non-traditional interactions and partnerships.  

In 2020, IPUR partnered with the UR community and the  Global Facility of Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) to organised the virtual Understanding Risk conference which attracted more than 6,000 people from 182 countries. Topics covered included AI/machine learning, arts, data visualisation, decision-making and risk communication.  Download the report here.
