Climate Workshop: Eco Anxiety vs Eco Solidarity

Organised by IPUR, this virtual workshop taking place on 3 June frm 9.30am-11.30am will feature a panel session to discuss the pertinent issues surrounding eco anxiety, and introduce eco solidarity and how it can be applied to turn worry into resilience.

Highlights of the workshop include a panel session featuring:

  1. Dr Olivia Jensen, IPUR Lead Scientist (Environment and Climate)
  2. Dr Chitra Venkataramani, Assistant Professor of Sociology & Anthropology
  3. Dr Adrian Kuah, Director of NUS Futures Office
  4. Associate Prof Matthew Schneider-Mayerson, Colby College

To round of the discussions, Anie Febriastati, Associate Director, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and Woo Qiyun, a Singaporean environmental activist, will lead a masterclass to engage participants and have them think deeper into why climate issues exist and what practical steps can be taken to mitigate these pressing concerns.
