Asian perspectives on global risks – the UN Global Risk Report through a regional lens
Asia is at the forefront of intertwined climate, digital, and societal transitions. Stress-testing the UN Global Risk Report’s perceptions against Asian realities can sharpen regional priorities, improve preparedness where it lags, and catalyse the joint actions the report identifies as most effective.
This webinar examines whether the United Nations Global Risk Report 2024 meaningfully captures the lived realities and strategic priorities of Southeast Asia, Asia more broadly, and the world. Drawing on the report’s perception survey across 1,100+ stakeholders in 136 countries, the panel will discuss the alignment and gaps between key global “vulnerabilities” such as mis- and disinformation, environmental risks, societal risks, and technological risks, and Asia’s on-the-ground risk landscape.
