From April 8, sign up for IPUR’s revamped “Understanding and Communicating Risk” online course featuring more materials and resources to give learners a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, strategies, and best practices in effective risk communication.

The revamped course outline features new modules on risk communication techniques and principles delivered by experts and practitioners such as Pablo Suarez, Innovation Lead at the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate, and David Reid, Director of Global Advocacy and Partner Campaigns for Lloyd’s Register Foundation.

Coupled with existing modules and case studies which bring issues to life, learners can expect to become proficient in understanding how fundamental concepts and techniques can be employed to practical challenges of risk communication. Learners on the course are also given opportunities to apply their learning through engaging exercises based on real-world cases.

This course is suitable for professionals working in risk management, public health, emergency response, environmental protection, corporate communication, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other fields where effective risk communication is essential.

Course Delivery

The course will be delivered through a combination of video lectures, interviews and case studies. Learners will be introduced to online resources, including readings, videos, and tools, to supplement their learning.
